Jaco Beach is the never ending summer, it is summer here every day of the year. Around the Jaco Beach area daytime temperatures on any given day reach into the high 80s or 90s. There are no such things in Costa Rica as spring, fall, summer or winter. There are two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season, known as verano or summer, lasts from December to April. The rainy season, known as invierno or winter, lasts from May to November with September, October and early November being the wettest. Rain usually falls in the afternoon, allowing visitors to explore the country in the morning and relax in the afternoon. The rain also turns the countryside a resplendent green, making the ‘green season’ many people’s favorite time of year.
